Modular Renewable Energy Monitoring Platform for Solar, BESS & Hybrid Plants
Enercog is a modular renewable energy monitoring platform for utility solar, C&I installations, BESS, and hybrid power plants. Built around your plant’s single-line diagram, it unifies Synapse on-site data controllers, Cortex cloud analytics, and Clarity operator dashboards into one reliable system.
Configuration note: interface support, command authority and final functions are confirmed against the project SLD, point list, OEM documentation and FAT/SAT scope. For public policy context, see the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
Start with the operating question
Choose the layer that needs to become clearer
A product review is more useful when it starts with the project decision, not a feature list. Use these routes to find the right starting point; the final configuration still depends on named equipment, interfaces and the agreed acceptance scope.
Choose Synapse when the immediate need is a defined edge path for approved field signals.
Choose Cortex when the team needs a reviewable analytical workflow around a real operating question.
Choose Clarity when plant, portfolio and technical teams need the same operational picture.
Begin with a solution review for Solar SCADA/RMS, BESS EMS or distributed monitoring.
Three connected layers
Renewable energy monitoring platform India: three connected layers
Meters, inverters, weather systems, BMS, PCS, PPC, protection and utility interfaces do not disappear into a software layer. Each retains the responsibility defined by the approved project control philosophy.
Edge acquisition
Synapse
Synapse is the place to start when a project needs a defined edge path between approved equipment and its monitoring, reporting or supervisory systems.
- Asset, point and register review
- Named protocol and firmware scope
- Network, time and data-quality requirements
- Local/remote, interlock and fallback boundary
Analysis and context
Cortex
Cortex is for operating teams that need an evidence-led analytical workflow, not a black-box score. The method should follow the available data, the plant context and the decision the analysis needs to support.
- Forecast-versus-actual review
- Soiling and performance diagnosis
- Anomaly-review context
- Portfolio patterns for engineering review
Operational visibility
Clarity
Clarity gives portfolio, plant and technical teams a shared view of agreed status, events, reports and operating context.
- User roles and escalation workflow
- Asset hierarchy and measurement definitions
- Report recipients and review cadence
- Visible data-quality state
Scope and integration boundary
Product scope across project types
Use this matrix to understand which product layers are typically deployed for each project profile. Exact scope is finalized after reviewing your plant Single Line Diagram (SLD) and communication schedule.
| Project Type | Synapse Edge | Cortex Analytics | Clarity UI | Key Integration Focus |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Utility-Scale Solar (2 MW+) | Essential | Recommended | Essential | Inverter Modbus aggregation, weather station polling, SLDC telemetry uplink. |
| C&I Rooftop & Microgrids | Essential | Optional | Essential | Zero-export control, DG-PV synchronization, net-metering validation. |
| BESS & Hybrid Storage | Essential | Recommended | Essential | BMS/PCS communication, state-of-charge tracking, peak shaving logic. |
| PM-KUSUM Solar Pumps / Feeders | Essential | Optional | Essential | State portal telemetry, offline data buffering, remote pump health. |
Deployment sequence
How we scope, integrate and commission your monitoring stack
A structured four-step delivery process designed to prevent integration bottlenecks during on-site commissioning.
1. SLD & Interface Audit
We review your single-line diagram, equipment register maps, and network topology to define point lists and edge hardware sizing.
2. Pre-Configuration & Lab Bench Test
Edge units are pre-loaded with site-specific drivers, protocol configs, and failover parameters before leaving our facility.
3. On-Site Integration & FAT/SAT
We assist with field wiring, point-to-point verification, and formal factory/site acceptance testing against defined criteria.
4. Live Analytics & Dashboard Handover
Cloud pipelines, analytical baselines, and role-based dashboard views are validated with live plant data before final handover.
Frequently asked questions
Technical FAQ: Enercog Product Architecture
Answers to common architecture, protocol, and compatibility questions.
Can Synapse interface with inverters from different manufacturers on the same plant?
Yes. Synapse supports multi-drop RS-485 serial loops and Ethernet Modbus TCP networks with independent driver instances for each manufacturer’s register map.
Does Cortex require dedicated physical weather sensors for soiling analytics?
No. Cortex uses empirical baseline modeling comparing expected vs. actual generation across strings, eliminating the need for expensive dedicated optical soiling sensors.
What happens to data during cellular or internet connectivity outages?
Synapse features up to 3 months of non-volatile solid-state storage. Telemetry is buffered locally and automatically synchronized chronologically upon reconnection.
Can Clarity integrate with existing third-party SCADA or ERP systems?
Yes. Clarity exposes secure REST APIs and MQTT endpoints for seamless bi-directional data exchange with enterprise ERP, billing, and asset management platforms.
